Use this kit to securely install a Stebel Compact Nautilus motorcycle air horn (included)  to your DL650.  The bracket easily mounts into the unused motor mount on the left side of the motor.  The horn is positioned verticaly near the stock horn for optimum sound performance and ease of installation. 

The bolt supplied with the Stebel horn is not adequate for the rigors of dual-sport riding so we've added a custom-machined 2-way locking bolt and lock nut.  This provides an extra level of security ensuring that the horn stays puts.

The Stebel air horn operates using a small but powerful air compressor.  The enemy to this compressor is water and dirt.  To prevent your horn from dying an early death, we also include an Air Intake Assembly.  Simply attach the assembly to the horn's air intake connector and route the tubing to a location on the bike which will allow the compressor to suck in clean and dry air.

Stebel horns are used on thousands of motorcycles all over the world and most of them are mounted on the outside of the bike rather than under a fairing.  As long as these horns are properly installed, they perform reliably even when exposed to the elements.  In addition to proper wiring, there are 2 simple keys to these horns lasting a long time: (1) Mount the horn as close to vertical as possible (2) Prevent water and dirt from getting sucked into the air compressor.  By using our mounting system, your Stebel horn will function reliably for years--we guaranteed it!

Crash Bar Compatibility Notes:  This kit will work with the Pat Walsh Crash bars and the GIVI crash bars.  The fit is tight with the GIVI bars--but it does fit.  We have not yet tested the kit with other crash bars. If you have other crash bars and would like to test our kit for compatibility, please email us.

Update 7/14/2010: Thanks to PWD customer Naziris from Greece for confirming that the kit will indeed fit with the older style SW-Motech crash bars.  He reports that the fit is tight, but it does fit and works well.

Please note that we use only genuine Stebel horns manufactured in Italy.  We do not guarantee compatiblility of our horn installation kit with any other horn including Stebel imitation horns made in China.
