The Full Pat Walsh Crash Bar System integrates three high-quality components designed to work together to protect your V-Strom:

(1) Crash Bars - Our crash bars are stronger and protect more area than other bars. Made from 1" tubular steel with .095" wall thickness, they are almost twice as thick as other bars.  Where most crash bars stop at about mid-engine, our bars protect from the side cowling down to the skid plate.  In the event of a drop, the bike will come to rest on the bars instead of the engine or side body parts.
(2) Skid Plate - The V-Strom's oil filter is located in a very precarious spot. Our skid plate will protect the filter, engine and exhaust from damage that could potentially leave you stranded. The plate is designed with access ports which allow you to change the oil without removing it.
(3) Front Engine Shield - Covers the entire area at the front of the engine. The design allows for maximum airflow to keep your engine cool while preventing objects from damaging critical front engine components.  Included standard in our PLUS System.
